Respawn Games, DRIP Streetwear and Backbone IT open their doors. You meet the people who run them and find out how each company earns its money.

Why it matters

Every company needs Management, Finance, Marketing, Sales, HR and IT. Today you walk through all six floors of each company and see what every department does.

Intern for our HR office

Two days at Lisa's desk: help us decide who gets the job interviews.

About us

Respawn Games is a game studio with 15 people. We have three games live, and right now we are working hard on Pixel Quest 2.

Why we need you

We need a new junior developer, and 340 people applied. Lisa runs our HR office on her own, and Mika, one of our founders, wants a piece of software to choose the applicants for us. Before Friday's meeting, Lisa needs a rule: who decides, a person or the software? We are looking for an intern who helps her find a good answer.

    You learn how HR chooses new staff, do the pre-selection (Vorauswahl) for four real applications and find out how a screening tool (software that sorts applications) decides.

Intern for our development team

Two days with Kai: plan a busy week and check an AI tool that writes code.

About us

Respawn Games is a game studio with 15 people. Eight of them work in Development & IT: they build Pixel Quest 2, test every level and keep the servers running.

Why we need you

Pixel Quest 2 launches in six weeks, and the team has more tickets than hours. Kai, our lead developer, wants to try AutoDev, an AI assistant that writes code, and Emre, our youngest developer, is worried about it. We are looking for an intern who helps Kai plan the week and check the tool with real numbers.

Intern for our marketing team

Two days with Nele: plan a drop campaign and decide about AI product photos.

About us

DRIP Streetwear sells sneakers and hoodies online, in drops: a new model goes online at 8 p.m. and is often sold out the same evening. 20 people work here, three of them in Marketing.

Why we need you

Our next drop is the DRIP Runner 2. Leyla, our founder, wants AI pictures from a tool called ShotGen instead of a photo shoot, and Nele worries that our customers will stop trusting us. We are looking for an intern who helps Nele plan the campaign and check the idea with real numbers.

Intern for our sales team

Two days with Sven: write offers for sneaker shops and decide about prices that change during a drop.

About us

DRIP Streetwear sells sneakers and hoodies online, in drops: a new model goes online at 8 p.m. and is often sold out the same evening. 20 people work here. Sales sells to sneaker shops in other cities and decides the prices in DRIP's own shop.

Why we need you

After our last drop, resellers (people who buy to sell again) sold our sneakers for €200 a pair. Sven wants to try PriceBot, a tool that changes the price while people are buying, and our customer Malik is worried. We are looking for an intern who writes offers with Sven and checks PriceBot with real numbers.

Intern for our management team

Two days with Sandra: compare three options with a decision matrix and decide who answers the phone at night.

About us

Backbone IT looks after the computers of about 200 doctors' practices, law firms and tax offices in Ohm City. 80 people work here. Sandra Beck leads the company together with two managing directors.

Why we need you

We promise every customer help within one hour, even at night, and our technicians are tired. An AI voice agent called CallMate could take the night calls, but a doctor worries about her patients' data. We are looking for an intern who helps Sandra compare the options and make a decision she can defend.

    You read a letter from the works council (Betriebsrat) and an email from a doctor, compare three options in a decision matrix (Entscheidungsmatrix) and find out how an AI voice agent works.

Intern for our finance team

Two days with Amara: check real invoices (Rechnungen) and decide when a machine may pay on its own.

About us

Backbone IT looks after the computers of about 200 doctors' practices, law firms and tax offices in Ohm City. 80 people work here, four of them in Finance.

Why we need you

About 180 invoices arrive every month, and we check each one by hand. Amara wants to try PayFlow, a tool that pays invoices on its own, and a fake email with new bank details almost got our money. We are looking for an intern who checks invoices with Amara and tests PayFlow with real numbers.

    You read the minutes (Protokoll) of the team meeting, compare four invoices with the order and the delivery note (Lieferschein) and find out how PayFlow and a real fraud case work.
